UML to remain in govt till March 9
KATHMANDU, Feb 26: The CPN-UML has decided not to withdraw the support given to the Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led government till March 9.
A secretariat meeting held on Saturday took a decision to this effect.
The ruling alliance headed by CPN (Maoist Center), CPN-UML, Ratsriya Swatantra Party, Janamat Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party and Rastriya Prajatantra Party split after 61 days of formation.
With the agreement to support the Nepali Congress and Janata Samajbadi Party in the upcoming election of President and Vice President respectively, the newly formed split on Friday. As many as eight political parties namely Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajbadi Party, Rastriya Janamorcha, Nagarik Unmukti Party, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party and Janamat Party joined their hands for the upcoming election of President and Vice President.
