RPP decides to withdraw its support and leave government
KATHMANDU, Feb. 25: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has decided to withdraw its support and leave the government.
A joint meeting of the party's central work execution committee and the parliamentary party held this morning decided to withdraw itself from the government, are reviewing the latest developments in the presidential election, according to Spokesperson Mohan Shrestha. The party has also decided to withdraw the support given to the provincial governments.
The conclusion of the discussion in the party meeting was to remain neutral in the presidential election in order to establish the issues raised by the party.
Filing of nominations for the post of President is taking place from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm today, while the voting will take place on March 9.
