Ruling alliance of CPN (Maoist Center), CPN-UML and five others split in 61 days

KATHMANDU, Feb 15: The ruling alliance headed by CPN (Maoist Center), CPN-UML, Ratsriya Swatantra Party, Janamat Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party and Rastriya Prajatantra Party split after 61 days of formation.

With the agreement to support the Nepali Congress and Janata Samajbadi Party in the upcoming election of President and Vice President respectively, the newly formed split on Friday.

As many as eight political parties namely Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajbadi Party, Rastriya Janamorcha, Nagarik Unmukti Party, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party and Janamat Party joined their hands for the upcoming election of President and Vice President.
