Leaders of LSP meet Deuba seeking support for party chair Thakur in presidential election

KATHMANDU, Feb 22: Leaders of the Loktantrik Samjabadi Party (LSP) are currently holding meetings with Sher Bahadur Deuba, President of the Nepali Congress seeking support for party Chairman Mahantha Thakur in the upcoming presidential election.

These leaders also held a meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Chairman of CPN-UML KP Sharma Oli on Tuesday.

LSP chair Thakur, Rajendra Mahatto, Sharatsingh Bhandari and Anil Jha are among the leaders attending the meeting with Deuba today.

The LSP leaders have been maintaining that the candidate from their party will be the best pick at the time when the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML are unable to agree for a national consensus for the election of new president.
