T-20 League spot-fixing: Case filed against 12

KATHMANDU, Feb 21: The office of the District Attorney Office Kathmandu has filed a case against 12 people on charge of spot-fixing during Nepal T20 League held from December 24, 2022 to January 11, 2023.

The case was filed at the District Court, Kathmandu on Friday against 12 individuals as per the investigation report of Central Investigation Bureau.

Among these 12 people, permanent addresses of only five have been identified so far. Former national cricket team members Mehboob Alam and Adhil Ansari are also among those against whom the government filed the case.

The Attorney office has demanded three-year imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000.
