Nepali Army skill display on Army day (with pictures)

KATHMANDU, Feb. 18: Nepal Army, the main security body of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, celebrated its 260th Army day on Saturday by holding various programs across the country.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has participated as the chief guest in a special ceremony to be held at the Sainik Manch Tundikhel on the occasion of Mahashivaratri and Army Day. She is the supreme commander of the army, which is the center of faith and trust of the citizens. As the chief guest, she offered floral tributes at the soldier's memorial there.

Army Day banners were exhibited and flowers were showered with the national flag from a helicopter. On the occasion of Army Day, various military art and cultural programs including a parade (army drill) and gun firing, Qawaz were conducted on Sainik Manch. Band performances were performed by the Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Army and the team of the British Army.

Various programs were organized on the occasion of this day in the Pritana, Bahini, Gana, Gulm, and other agencies stationed in different parts of the country under the Jangi Adda. Chief of Army Staff Prabhuram Sharma is currently the head of the organization of the Nepali Army.
