No discussion about President in high-level mechanism meeting

KATHMANDU, Feb. 10: In the meeting of the high-level political mechanism of the ruling coalition, the issue of giving completeness to the Council of Ministers was discussed. On Friday morning, a meeting of the mechanism held at the Prime Minister's official residence, Baluwatar, discussed the issue of government operations. Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister Rajendra Lingden, who is also the chairman of RPP, said that there was a discussion for the Rashtriya Swatantra Party to return to the government.
He said that there was no discussion about the presidential candidate in the meeting of the mechanism. He said, "The agreement reached on December 25 about the presidential candidate is already there. There was no discussion today."
The ruling parties JSP, Janmat, and Nagarik Unmukti Party were absent in today's mechanism meeting.
