Heavy security personnel mobilized at SC following conclusion of hearing of case filed against Home Minister Lamichhane

KATHMANDU, Jan 27: Hearing of the writ petition filed Hearing of writ petition filed at the Supreme Court against Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane concluded on Friday.
As the apex court is preparing to give its verdict on the case, a heavy number of security personnel has been mobilized in the court premises.
Earlier, advocates Rabi Raj Basaula and Yubaraj Poudel had filed a writ petition against Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs accusing Lamichhane of using citizenship and passport of the United States of America (USA) without quitting the citizenship and passport of Nepal.
The petitioners have also demanded the apex court to scrap Lamichhhane’s post as a member of the House of Representatives ( HoR).
