All-party meeting called by Speaker Ghirime ongoing

KATHMANDU, Jan. 21: An all-party meeting called by Speaker Devraj Ghimire has started in the Federal Parliament Building, New Baneshwor. 

In the meeting, Chief Whip of Nepali Congress Ramesh Lekhak, Vice President of CPN UML and former Speaker Subas Nembang, Chief Whip of CPN (Maoist Center) Hitraj Pandey, Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan, Deputy Secretary General of CPN (Unified Socialist) Prakash Jwala, Chitra Bahadur KC of Rashtriya Jan Morcha, independent MP Prabhu Sah and others are present.

Voting for the election of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives is going to be held today. Before that, Speaker Ghimire called an all-party meeting.

Ghimire was elected as Speaker on January 19th with 167 votes.
