KATHMANDU, Jan. 20: The newly appointed Speaker of the House of Representatives, Devraj Ghimire, has assumed office. Today, Ghimire reached the office located at Singha Darbar and assumed office.
Earlier, he was sworn in by President Bidyadevi Bhandari at a ceremony held at the President's Office, Sheetal Niwas.
Ghimire was elected Speaker, only yesterday. He was nominated on behalf of CPN-UML and was voted for by the parties of the ruling coalition.
