RSP decides on Indira Rana Magar as Deputy Speaker
KATHMANDU, Jan. 20: Rashtriya Swatantra Party has decided on making Indira Rana Magar its candidate for the Deputy Speaker. Spokesperson Mukul Dhakal informed that the decision was made in the meeting held by the party members on Friday.
Earlier, Sobita Gautam was discussed as deputy speaker from the party, but at the last moment, the party decided to nominate Rana Magar as its candidate. In 2017, Rana was included in the BBC's list of inspirational women. She is also the founding president of Bandi Sahayata Nepal. Born in 2027 on Sanishchare-6 in Jhapa, Indira won the Ashok Fellow in 2005 for her social service.
She has also been running a children's home in Nayabazar of Kathmandu, and also in Sankhu, and Khudunabari of Jhapa.
