HoR’s Speaker election today

KATHMANDU, Jan 19: An election of the Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled on Thursday.
Ishwori Neupane of the Nepali Congress and Dev Raj Ghimire of the CPN-UML are facing off for the post of the Speaker.
The Nepali Congress on Wednesday issued a whip to its lawmakers to vote for Neupane during the election. The party has urged its lawmakers to compulsorily attend the HoR meeting scheduled for Thursday and vote for Neupane.
