Nepali Congress to file candidacy for the post of Speaker

KATHMANDU, Jan 18: The Nepali Congress has decided to file its candidacy for the post of the Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) with the support of other political parties. 
A meeting of the office bearers of the party held earlier on Wednesday took a decision to this effect, according Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, spokesperson of the party. We will file our candidacy and seek support from other parties including CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist) and Janata Samajbadi Party.
Besides, Mahat also recalled Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s words to join hands and form a coalition government during an all party meeting held earlier on Tuesday.
