Russia-Ukraine war: 30 confirmed dead in missile attack

UKRAINE, Jan. 16: The death toll from a Russian missile attack on a residential building in the southeastern city of Dnipro in Ukraine has reached 30. More than two dozen people are still missing after a nine-storied building was partially destroyed by the missile attack.
So far, 30 people have been confirmed dead. The rescuers were constantly working despite the severe cold to rescue the survivors from the upper part of the building destroyed by the missile attack as well as to search for the survivors in the ruins.
Ukraine made several efforts to thwart the deadly attack on Saturday. Out of 33 cruise missiles launched by Russia, 21 were shot down by Ukraine. With the end of a two-week-long undeclared ceasefire, Russia is also targeting the capital, Kyiv, and the northeastern city of Kharkiv.
