JSP’s Saroj Yadav appointed CM of Madesh Province

KATHMANDU, Jan 11: Saroj Kumar Yadav of Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has been appointed the Chief Minister of Madesh Province.
Yadav was appointed Chief Minister with support of 63 lawmakers in the Provincial Assembly including 23 of CPN-UML, 16 of JSP, 13 of Janamat Party, seven of CPN (Maoist Center), one each of RPP and Nagarik Unmukti Party and two independent members in the assembly.
Yadav is scheduled to take an oath of office and secrecy on Friday.
