Karki sworn in as CM of Province 1

KATHMANDU, Jan 8: Hikmat Kumar Karki of CPN-UML took an oath of office and secrecy as the Chief Minister (CM) of Province 1 on Monday. 
Karki  who is also the parliamentary party leader of UML was appointed the CM by Parshu Ram Khapung, the chief of the province on Sunday. 
Karki was appointed the CM in the support of 40 lawmakers of UML, 13 of CPN (Maoist Center), six of RPP and one of JSP.
