Home Minister Lamichhane’s case: Court refused to issue interim order, hearing to continue from Jan 25 (with full court’s order)

KATHMANDU, Jan 6: The Supreme Court refused to issue an interim order in the case filed against Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane.
Earlier, advocates Rabiraj Basaula and Yuwaraj Poudel among others had filed a writ petition raising question on the qualification of the Deputy Prime Minister Lamichhane's election to House of Representatives member who is also chairperson of Rastriya Swatantra Party.
The petitioners had also accused Lamichhane of running a political party without obtaining Nepali citizenship and getting elected a member of the House of Representatives (HoR).
