KATHMANDU, Jan. 3: In the meeting of the CPN Unified Socialist Politburo, it has been demanded that action be taken against 120 members including Central Secretary Ramkumari Jhakri and leader Mukunda Neupane. The leaders made such demand during the election review at the party's Politburo meeting on Tuesday. The Politburo meeting started on Monday.
"Leaders have held a belief that that action should be taken against 120 tribal central members along with leader Mukund Neupane and Secretary Ramkumari Jhankri who did not go to vote in the Mangsir 4 election," a Politburo member told Ratopati citing the opinion held by the leaders in the meeting, "There should be an investigation against the leaders who did not even go to vote and immediate action should be taken.'
As leader Neupane and Secretary Jhankri advocated for different parties, there was a demand that action should be taken against them. Lately, leader Neupane has been expressing publicly that the party should unite with UML. Similarly, saying that Jhankri also advocated for UML and Maoists, the question was asked in the meeting, "Can a responsible leader of one party advocate for another party? Politburo member Dilu Panta said that since some of the responsible leaders of the party are doing factionalism according to their own preferences, they should be investigated as well and action should be taken.
