NC, Maoist Center hold meeting separately

Today is the final day to stake claim to form a new government

KATHMANDU, Dec 26: As the deadline given by President Bidya Devi Bhandari is set to end on Sunday, the separate meeting of the Nepali Congress and the CPN (Moaist Centre) is currently underway at Baluwatar and Khumaltar respectively.
The ruling alliance has so far failed to reach an agreement to form a coalition government.
Soon after these meetings, the ruling alliance is preparing to hold a similar meeting and do their best to reach an agreement.
Both the Nepali Congress and the CPN (Maoist Center) want to lead the government. 
According to Article 76 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal, in cases where no party has a clear majority in the House of Representative, the President shall appoint as the Prime Minister a member of the House of Representatives who is able to command a majority with the support of two or more parties representing to the House of Representatives.
