EC to publish final list of candidates elected members of HoR and Provincial Assemblies under PR category today

KATHMANDU, Dec 13: The Election Commission (EC) is scheduled to publish the final list of the candidates elected the members of the House of Representatives (HoR) and the Provincial Assemblies under the Proportional Representation (PR) category on Tuesday.

The CPN-UML has garnered the highest of 34 seats followed by Nepali Congress with 32 seats, CPN (Maoist Center) with 14 seats, Rastriya Swatantra Party with 13 seats, Rastriya Prajatantra Party with seven and Janata Samabadi Party and Janamat Party with five seats each.

With the publication of the final lists under the PR category, the poll body will submit the final results of the general election to President Bidya Devi Bhandari. After that the process of the formation of the new government will kick off.
