EC to announce names of candidates elected under PR category on Dec 12

KATHMANDU, Dec 11: The Election Commission (EC) is scheduled to announce the election of candidates under the proportional representation (PR) for the House of Representatives (HoR) on Monday.
The political parties submitted the list of their candidates to the poll body on Saturday. After checking the list, the poll body will announce the names of elected candidates on Monday.
In the election held recently on November 20, the CPN-UML has garnered 34 seats, the Nepali Congress has garnered 32 seats, CPN (Maoist Centre) garnered 14, the Rastriya Swatantra Party garnered 13, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party garnered seven, the Janata Samajbadi Party the Janamant Party got five seats each under the proportional representation category.
