Chinese Speaker Li arrives in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, Sep 12: Li Zhanshu, the current Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the Chinese Speaker, arrived in Kathmandu on Monday afternoon for his three day visit. 

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Li is visiting Nepal on the invitation of his counterpart, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota.

Speaker Sapkota and Chinese leader Li are scheduled to hold a meeting this evening. Besides, Li will be calling on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka on Tuesday. Likewise, he will be calling on President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Wednesday. 

Similarly, Speaker Li will also be holding meetings with KP Sharma Oli, Chairman of CPN-UML and Pushpa Kamal Dahal, CPN (Maoist Center) during his stay in Nepal.
