Sandeep rape case: ‘Took victim to visit Nagarkot, raped her in hotel at Airport’

KATHMANDU, Sept 7: A complaint of rape has been filed against Sandeep Lamichhane, captain of Nepal’s National Cricket Team at Gaushala Police Circle.
It has been learnt that the girl is a 17 years old minor. Sandeep and the girl got to know each other through snapchat and whatsapp and went to visit Nagarkot, as per the complaint of the girl.
Sandeep has been accused of raping the girl taking her to the airport-based Kathmandu Inn Hotel.
A team of the Nepal Police has been mobilized to collect CCTV footage from Nagarkot.
Police have also conducted a health test of the girl.
Lamichhane is currently abroad playing tournaments.
