Cricketer Lamichhane accused of raping a 17 year old girl

KATHMANDU, Sept 7: A complaint of rape has been filed against Sandeep Lamichhane, captain of Nepal’s National Cricket Team.
Lamichhane has been accused of raping a minor of 17 years old, according to AIG Rabindra Bahadur Dhanuk of Valley Police Office.
Lamichhane is currently abroad playing tournaments.
The complaint was filed at Gaushala Police Circle on Tuesday.
It has been learnt that the ‘incident of rape’ dates ahead of Sandeep leaving Nepal to play Caribbean Premier League.
As per the complaint, Lamichhane and the minor got to know each other through the social media and Lamichhane raped her after their meeting.
