Govt preparing to table proposal to withdraw citizenship bill in HoR meeting today

KATHMANDU, July 7: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled for 2 PM on Thursday.

The government is likely to table a proposal to withdraw the citizenship bill to remove some controversial provisions in it during the HoR meeting today.

Besides, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Govinda Prasad Sharma, Minister for Drinking Water and Sanitation Umakantha Chaudhary are also scheduled to present various reports and proposals.
