Arrest warrant issued against ward chair of KMC-4

KATHMANDU, June 29: An arrest warrant has been issued against Dinesh Maharjan, ward chairperson of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC)-4.

The district court of Kathmandu issued the warrant to arrest Maharjan, Ex-chair of KMC-4 Mohan Bahadur Bista and ex-ward member Dhurba Prasad Triphati and present them to the court.

A complaint was filed accusing these people of forging fake government documents while Bista was the ward chairperson. At that time, Maharjan and Triphati were ward members.

Despite the court’s order, DSP Pramesh Bista of Maharajgunj Police Range, has shown unwillingness to arrest them.
