Indian medic en-route to EBC gone missing, three search teams deployed

KATHMANDU, June 28: A Indian medic who was on his way to the Everest Base Camp (EBC) has gone missing.
Dr Chandra Mohan Shivanath has gone missing from the Tengboche area of Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality-4.
Dr Shivanath, 31, had gone missing on June 9, according to DSP Sunil Jung Shah of Solukhumbu district. As per the police record, Dr Shivanath had left from a checkpoint at Namche Bazaar at around 1 PM that day for EBC.
“Three search teams have been mobilized in the area to find the whereabouts of the missing doctor,” DSP Shah told Ratopati.
In a similar case, a Korean national (woman) en-route to EBC has also gone missing since March 19, 2022.
