IN PICS: Newly appointed Tourism Minister Shrestha assumes office, takes two decisions

KATHMANDU, June 27: Newly appointed Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jeevan Ram Shrestha assumed his office soon after President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered an oath of office and secrecy on Monday.

Assuming his office, Minister Shrestha signed on two decisions:

1) Constructing a heritage trail linking Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square and Swayambhunath

2) Earlier, a report on ‘Impacts of COVID-19 pandemic on the tourism sector’ was drafted. Minister Shrestha has signed a document to implement the suggestions and act on findings of the report within seven days.
