Govt slashes fare of public passenger vehicles (with reviewed fare)

KATHMANDU, June 26: With the Nepal Oil Corporation’s (NOC) decision to reduce the price of petroleum products, the government has decreased the fare of public passenger vehicles.

The NOC on Saturday took a decision to reduce the price of petrol by Rs 20 per liter and diesel by Rs 29 per liter. With this, the price of petrol has been set at Rs 179 per liter while the price of diesel is Rs 163 per liter from Sunday.

The Department of Transport Management has reduced the fare of inter-provincial passenger vehicles by a minimum of 5.41 percent to a maximum of 7.68 percent.
