Scientists from nine nations to participate in conference of NAST on Sunday

KATHMANDU, June 25: International Scientists from nine different nations are scheduled to participate in a conference to be organized by the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) on Sunday.

Scientists from India, Pakistan, Japan, England, America, China, Germany, Australia, and the Czech Republic are to attend the conference, according to the NAST.

The conference that will end on June 28 is to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. The slogan for the conference is ‘Science for the Society and Innovation for Prosperity.’

Likewise, renowned Ophthalmologist, Dr. Sanduk Ruit is also scheduled to give a presentation at the event.

The event will also dwell on subjects related to ‘Policies and Implementation of Science, Technology, and Innovation’ on the final day.

As many as 500 personnel including scientists, researchers, lecturers, teachers, students, and representatives of government and non-government organizations are expected to attend the event, according to the NAST.
