Local polls and lack of papers caused delay in distributing books on time: Education Minister
KATHMANDU, June 14: Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Devendra Poudel has maintained that the government failed to distribute books to students on time due to the lack of papers and the recently held local level elections.
Answering the queries raised by lawmakers in the ongoing House session, Minister Poudel maintained that stating the academic session a month earlier in comparison to the last year and lack of papers caused the delay in distribution of books.
“Besides, there are challenges in importing quality papers to print books,” Minister Poudel further said. “Likewise, officials at Janak Shiksha were also deployed during the election held by the Election Commission,” he added.
