Due to global instability in price rate, we could not procure fertilizers on time: Agriculture Minister

KATHMANDU, June 13: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Mahendra Raya Yadav has maintained that the country has failed to procure fertilizers on time due to global instability in price rate.

Answering the queries at the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) on Monday, Minister Yadav Krishi Samagri Company Ltd.(Agriculture Tools Company Limited) and Salt Trading Corporation Ltd are in the process of procuring 105,000 metric tons and 117,000 metric tons of fertilizers respectively.

Minister Yadav also vowed to take action and scrap the contract against those contractors failing to supply fertilizers on time.
