K Foundation connecting students to digital technology
KATHMANDU, June 9: K Foundation America has provided Tablets to two schools in Sindhupalchowk district in the view of enhancing digital connectivity in learning.
Superstar Rajesh Hamal handed over five tablets each to Indrawati Rural Municipality-8 based Panchakanya Basic School and Sharbha Sudha Basic School on Tuesday.
The tablets were handed over to these schools in support of Prakul Neupane. Neupane, 16, who lives in the United States of America (USA) has designed an online course for the students.
Handing over the tabs, superstar Hamal urged teachers to utilize the technology in the best possible ways, highlighting the importance of education in the present world.
According to Saurab Rimal, Chairperson of K Foundation Nepal, the tablets were provided to the schools to minimize digital divide and connect schools in remote areas to the new technologies.
A tablet is a wireless, portable personal computer with a touchscreen interface. The tablet form factor is typically smaller than a notebook computer, but larger than a smartphone.
The Foundation has been offering various supports to schools in Chitwan, Ramechhap, Lamjung and Sindhupalchowk.
