Trash collection in capital resumes from today
KATHMANDU, June 7: As the local authorities and local representatives of Sisdole and Banchare Danda ink a deal, the trash collection that has been halted for over a month is resuming from Tuesday.
An agreement was reached between the authorities concerned and the locals of Sisdole and Banchare Danda on Monday regarding the waste management of the Kathmandu Valley, where lies the federal capital of the country.
As per the agreement, the Ministry of Urban Development will allocate Rs 425,000,000 for construction of five roads in the Sisdole and Banchare Danda areas and Rs 7,000,000 for afforestation program, river control and construction of public entities.
