Speaker Sapkota directs FinMin to attend HoR meeting after opposition sought his presence
KATHMANDU, May 19: The main opposition party, CPN-UML, sought the presence of Finance Minister Janardan Sharma during the ongoing House of Representatives (HoR) meeting.
The House sessions are currently underway to discuss the Budget Appropriation Bill. However, the Finance Minister Sharma was not present in the meeting.
"Finance Minister Sharma himself is not present in this discussion. I can barely see anyone taking notes of points presented by Ministers," said Bishal Bhattarai, chief whip of CPN-UML.
Following UML's query, Speaker of the House, Agni Prasad Sapkota directed Minister Sharma to attend the meeting.
