Newly appointed Law Minister Bandi sworn in

KATHMANDU, April 7: Govinda Bandi, newly appointed Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, took an oath of office and secrecy on Thursday.

Bandi (Govinda Prasad Sharma Koirala) was appointed Minister by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Thursday administered an oath of office and secrecy to Minister Bandi amid an event. The ceremony was also attended by Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun and PM Deuba.

Bandi had played a significant role in preparing an interpretative declaration while Nepal ratified the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC)-Nepal compact.

Likewise, the out-going Minister Dilendra Badu has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Supplies, according to Purna Bahadur Khadkha, vice-president of Nepali Congress.
