Preparations underway to announce name of office bearers and members through consensus
KATHMANDU, Jan 2: The CPN (Maoist Center) is preparing to elect 299 central committee members including the office bearers through a consensus in the ongoing 8th General Convention of the party, currently being held in Kathmandu.
The party’s Chairman Puspha Kamal Dahal postponed it’s closed-door session till 1 PM today on Saturday and amended the election schedule to make necessary preparations for the same.
The party is currently making efforts to elect central members through consensus by 11 AM today and announce names of the newly elected central members and office bearers in the closed-door session due to begin at 1 PM.
The party will have 15 office bearers including one Chairman, one senior vice chairman, six vice-chairmen, one general secretary, two deputy general secretaries, three secretaries and one treasurer.
