NC Convention in Province 2: Battle between Deuba and Nidhi-Koirala panels , who are in the race?
Krishna Yadav and Ram Saroj Yadav file candidacies for Nepali Congress’ Province 2 Prez
JANAKPUR, Dec 21: Two factions ---- one led by President Sher Bahadur Deuba and another close to Bimalendra Nidhi and Shekhar Koira--- have fielded their candidates for president of Nepali Congress in Province 2.
Krishna Yadav (Deuba panel) and Ram Saroj Yadav (Nidhi-Koirala camp) registered their candidacies for the provincial president, on Tuesday.
The province is all set to elect a new leadership of the party in the province for the next four years, on Wednesday. As many as 72 executive members will be elected, according to the party’s election committee.
The provincial convention of the ruling party in Province 2 had been put off as some electoral constituencies were unable to elect the delegates for the convention.
The NC is holding its provincial convention in the province a week after it held its general convention in Kathmandu from December 10 to 12.
