Saral Sahayatri Poudel elected Maoist Center's Bagmati Chair

KATHMANDU, December 21: Saral Sahayarti Poudel has been elected Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) in Bagmati Province.
Poudel defeated his contender Dinanath Gautam in an election held for the post on Monday.
Poudel secured 162 votes while Gautam garnered only 86 votes.
Likewise, Rupa Maharjan, Prem Bahadur Pulami and Ram Prasad Dhungana were elected as vice-chairpersons.
Similarly, Indra Bahadur Thing was in the post of secretary while Bahadur Burlakoti ‘Bijay’, Madhan Lamichhane, and Prakash Shrestha were elected joint secretary of the party in the province.
Moreover, Sita Bhattarai has been elected to the post of treasurer.
