Nine women including Dila Sangraula elected central members of NC
KATHMANDU, December 21: As many as nine people including Dila Sangraula, Pushpa Bhusal and Dr Arju Rana have been elected in the post of central members of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) through the 14th General Convention of the party recently held in Kathmandu.
Dila Sangraula was elected with the highest of 2,885 votes followed by Pushpa Bhusal with 2,718 votes, and Dr Arju Rana Deuba with 2,536 votes.
Similarly, Ambika Basnet was able to garner 2,339 votes while Ishwori Neupane secured 2,259 votes.
Likewise, Sarita Prasai got 2,096 votes, Rama Koirala Poudel got 1,858 votes, Shusila Dhakal Acharya got 1,804 votes and Rangamati Shahi got 1,789 votes, according to the NC election committee.
A total of 30 candidates had filed nominations for the nine-member central member from the women open category.
