Deuba closer to NC presidential victory

KATHMANDU: Incumbent president of Nepali Congress She Bahadur Deuba is approaching closer to secure the victory against his rival Dr Shekhar Koirala to become the party president for the second term. 

According to the vote-count updates availed by the election committee, Deuba is leading the tally with 787 votes. He has secured 2,288 votes against Koirala’s 1,501 votes.

Of the 3,819 votes counted so far, 30 ballots were declared invalid.
