Yubraj Neupane withdraws his candidacy for president, to support Shekhar Koirala

KATHMANDU, December 12: Yubraj Neupane withdrew his candidacy for the post of President of Nepali Congress in the ongoing 14th National Congress of the party on Monday.
Withdrawing his nomination during the nomination withdrawal period, Neupane announced his support for Dr Shekhar Koirala who is also vying for the same post.
The Nepali Congress (NC), the ruling party, had extended the nomination withdrawal period by one and half hours.
With this the number of candidates vying for the post of NC’s President has reached five including Kalyan Gurung,
Bimalendra Nidhi, Prakash Man Singh, Dr Shekhar Koirala and Sher Bahadur Deuba.
