Four die in Rolpa road accident

ROLPA: Four people died in a road accident at Madi Rural Municipality in Rolpa district on Sunday. 

The deceased have been identified as driver Ludra Bahadur Gharti, 51, and passengers Tek Bahadur Pun, 53, Chausara BK, 47, and Leena Pun, 18, according to the District Police Office, Rolpa.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Naresh Raj Subedi said that all four hailed from Madi Rural Municipality-6 in the district. DSP Subedi shared that Leela breathed her last while being rushed to the hospital. Similarly, three others died on the spot. 

Similarly, injured in the accident were Bina Gharti Magar and Panchana BK of Madi Rural Municipality-6 in the district. The injured ones are receiving treatment at Rolpa Hospital. 

The incident took place when the jeep (Ra 1 Ja 382) coming from Hangding of Madi Rural Municipality-6 to Gharti Gaun met with an accident, police said.
