UML calls Central Committee meeting today

KATHMANDU: Main opposition CPN-UML has summoned a Central Committee meeting. 

Sher Bahadur Tamang, secretary at the party’s head office, said that the meeting will be held in the capital at 11 AM Friday. 

The meeting will review the recently held ward-level and local level conventions. 

The party held ward-level conventions on October 23 and local-level conventions on October 25. 

A Standing Committee meeting held on Thursday decided to ensure the participation of 1,536 delegates in the party’s Tenth General Convention. The party is scheduled to hold its general convention in Chitwan, Bagmati Province from November 26 to 28.
