FinMin Sharma tables budget substitution bill (with full document)
Rs 1.632 trillion is new budget size
KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Janardan Sharma, on Friday, tabled a substitution bill to amend the ordinance budget introduced by his predecessor CPN-UML’s Bishnu Poudel, more than a month he took the helm of the ministry under the premiership of Sher Bahadur Deuba.
The bill was tabled at the lower House of parliament --- House of Representatives (HoR) amid the obstruction by the lawmakers of the main opposition, UML.
Through the substitution bill, the government has introduced a budget of Rs 1.632 trillion including the recurrent expenditure of Rs 677 billion, capital expenditure of Rs 371 billion and Rs 189 billion has been allocated for fiscal management. Similarly, the government has earmarked Rs 387 billion for fiscal transfers for the provincial and local levels.
