Student union close to Nepal burns effigies of Indian PM Modi in Kathmandu (Photos)

KATHMANDU, September 3: Student union considered close to chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, burnt effigies of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi protesting against Darchula incident in the capital on Friday.

The students affiliated to All Nepal National Free Students Union also chanted strong slogans against the Indian government during the protest organized at Exhibition road in Kathmandu.

Jay Singh Dami has gone missing in the Mahakali River after the Indian Seema Surakshya Bal (SSB) personnel cut off an improvised cable crossing ‘Tuin’ (improvised cable crossing) stretching over the river.

A probe committee formed to investigate the disappearance of Dhami has also concluded that the incident took place in the presence of the Indian Border Security Force (SSB).
