Special session of Lumbini Province Assembly summoned

BUTWAL, Aug 5: A special session of Lumbini Province has been called for August 11. 

Province Chief Amik Sherchan, on Thursday, summoned the special session of the provincial assembly at 1 PM on August 11 (Wednesday) as per Article 183 (3).

Article 183 (3) states that the Governor of the province shall specify the date and time for a special session or meeting if, during the prorogation or recess of the session of the provincial assembly, one-fourth of the total number of its members make a petition that it is expedient to convene a session or meeting. 

The session is likely to decide on no-confidence motion registered against Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel.
