Oli’s exit from Baluwatar (photos)

KATHMANDU, July 14: Two days after the Supreme Court dismissed his recommendation to President Bidya Devi Bhandari to dissolve the House, immediate past Prime Minister and Chairman of KP Sharma Oli, on Wednesday, left the Baluwatar-based official residence of the prime minister. 

The UML held a showdown where a large number of cadres of the party and members of the recently revived Youth Force joinedexcorted Oli to his personal residence in Bhaktapur’s Balkot. 

Oli, on Tuesday, through his address to the nation, blamed the court for exercising excessive judicial activism and crossing the jurisdiction to decide over the political matter. “I was ousted due to the court's order, not because of people’s mandate,” he said.
