UML task force meeting today, leader Nembang hopeful of agreement
KATHMANDU, July 8: A task force formed to resolve intra party disputes in the ruling CPN-UML is holding a meeting on Thursday as well.
Though party Chairman KP Sharma Oli and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal could not forge consensus during their meeting on Wednesday evening, the task force will try to sort out the differences and reach a common understanding.
Subash Chandra Nembang, who leads the panel, on behalf of Chairman Oli, said that the meeting will be held at Singha Durbar at 11:30.
While refuting the ‘rumors’ that Oli and Nepal failed to reach an agreement on Wednesday, Nembang said that the task force may hammer out differences. “We still have high spirits toward our aim at reaching consensus,” he said.
The taskforce members include party leaders, Subas Chandra Nembang, Bishnu Prasad Poudel, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Shankar Pokharel and Bishnu Prasad Rimal from the side of Prime Minister and party chair Oli and Dr Bhim Bahadur Rawal, Ghanashyam Bhusal, Surendra Prasad Pandey, Gokarna Raj Bista and Raghuji Pant from party leader Nepal camp.
