UML task force meeting begins following Rawal’s return from Koteshwor
KATHMANDU, July 7: A meeting of the CPN-UML task force, which was formed to ‘sort out’ intraparty row, has begun at Singha Durbar too.
The meeting began at 12 PM on Wednesday in a bid to resolve the dispute between UML Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Madhav Kumar Nepal, at the Ministry of Finance.
Earlier, the meeting scheduled for 10 AM was postponed after Bhim Rawal, a member of the task force, reached Koteshwor to meet Madhav Kumar Nepal, who is leading the dissident faction of the party.
Deputy General Secretary Ghanashyam Bhushal, Secretary Gokarna Bista, Standing Committee member Surendra Pandey, Raghuji Pant and Bhim Acharya represent the Nepal faction which is led by Vice Chairman Bhim Rawal.
Standing Committee member Subash Chandra Nembang is leading the team close to the Oli faction, which comprises Deputy Secretary General Bishnu Prasad Poudel, Secretary Pradip Gyawali, Standing Committee member Shankar Pokharel and Bishnu Rimal.
Meetings held on Monday and Tuesday discussed various issues in order to reunite the party.
